Place this very rare charming little covered custard cup on the vanity or by the sink to hold your rings. It's wonderfully hand painted with cherubs and garlands throughout. My favorite part is the molded life-like little strawberry final. Measures 3.75" from the end of one handle to the end of the other and 3.5" to the top of the strawberry finial. Cup opening is approximately 3.5". Minor wear and a few tiny chips to the glaze, but in overall excellent condition. A remarkably similar cup is part of the permanent collection at the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum and dated from the 18th century. This piece is estimated to be from the 19th century by Faience maker Veuve Perrin.
