The lid is adorned with a monogram and fitted with a loop finial, all hallmarks of the formal Victorian dining tradition. Stamped “Meriden & Company” and “quadruple plate,” it reflects the brand’s reputation for durable, high-quality silverplate meant to withstand frequent use.
