This striking pair of brass servers—comprised of a cake knife and ladle—are signed by Joe Spoon, an artisan known for his whimsical, hand-forged serving pieces crafted in the 1970s and 1980s. Recognizable by their sculptural, twisted handles and stylized heart or loop finials, his designs blend organic elegance with a playful sensibility. Each piece is hammered and cast in solid brass, giving them a warm, reflective finish that brings a touch of artistry to any table. While little formal documentation exists about Joe Spoon as a major manufacturer, his pieces have achieved cult status among collectors of boho-chic and artisan tabletop accessories. Notably, similar works have appeared in vintage design boutiques and have been favored by stylists for editorial shoots in publications like Elle Decor and House Beautiful. Overall set measures 11” long and in excellent vintage condition with minor wear from age and use.

Note about Provenance: This particular item was acquired from the Prop House of Eddie Ross, the Co-founder and Chief Content Creator of Maximalist Studios and a former editor for top publications like Martha Stewart Living, Better Homes & Gardens, and House Beautiful. Known for his creative approach to decorating and entertaining, he inspires audiences through design, vintage sourcing, and his book Modern Mix, as well as appearances in national media and on HGTV. Eddie closed his studio doors in early April and invited his devoted followers into his prop house to shop his lifetime collection for the last time before he embarks on his next adventure. Now here’s your opportunity to own a part of Eddie’s design legacy.
