This 10" plate was produced in the 19th century by the esteemed Vieillard Bordeaux factory in the South of France, where the highest quality materials and methods were employed, hence making them the most coveted faience anywhere, especially in France. Each plate design is indicative of Vieillard's influence by renown Rococo artist Jean Berain of the 17th century. They are extremely rare and perfect for the true Francophile! Stamped with the Jules Vieillard (1813-1868) signature, there are 6 designs as part of a 12 plate collection, each plate listed and sold separately. Some have minor crazing and discoloration due to age and use, so be sure to review photos of each listing.
