This lovely porcelain container may resemble an antique chinoiserie tea caddy from the 19th century, but it's actually a more contemporary piece created for the Williamsburg Reserve by Isis Ceramics of England. Hand made and designed, this caddy has a wonderfully whimsical hand painted design featuring monkeys and country estates. Topped with a sterling stamped lid as well as a sterling lined mouth on the jar. Extremely rare, especially with the silver mounts, it is in excellent condition without chips or cracks and measures 3" x 4" x 6" high.

From the Isis website: Deborah Sears founded Isis Ceramics, when inspired by her own collection of 17th and 18th century English Delftware; she wanted to see the mark of the painters hand rather than the stamp of mass production. Highly collectable, each Isis Ceramics piece is hand-painted and hand made by skilled artists in Oxfordshire, England, with the genuine colors of the past she creates wonderful pieces for today and designs ceramics that look sensational in either a traditional or contemporary setting. Isis Ceramics are found in many private collections, and in England, are on show at Blenheim Palace, Castle Howard and Highgrove, the country home of the Prince of Wales.
