An exceptional Victorian English ceramic tile attributed to Minton Hollins & Co. of Stoke-on-Trent, dating to approximately 1880. The striking design features a finely detailed fox emerging from swirling grasses, rendered in rich autumnal browns, soft greens, and golden tones.
The polychrome illustration is framed by a distinctive geometric border characteristic of Victorian decorative tilework. Fine crazing across the glazed surface adds to its antique character.
A beautiful example of 19th-century English sporting and wildlife decoration, particularly suited to an equestrian-inspired interior or a collection of Victorian ceramics. Measures 6” × 6”, made in England, circa 1880.
