These little Samson jars are the perfect way to add dimension and elegance. Edme Samson was one of the premier porcelain "copyists" of his day. From about the mid 1800s Samson's company was known to make exquisite museum reproductions, while also drawing inspiration from many of the better known European porcelain factories of the 19th and 20th centuries. Samson pieces were so close to the originals that they were often passed off as the real thing because their maker's mark was easily removed. Now Samson porcelains are highly collectable and growing in value. These little jars are likely Chinese export reproductions and measure 4.25" high. The small lid on both jars has been repaired, but no other chips, cracks or repairs are present.
